National Competition:
Where: New York, New York
When: July 30, 2009 – August 3, 2009
Alma Dolores Xibille and a number of instructors and students from the Alma Dolores International Dance Centre traveled to New York City to participate in the national Tremaine Dance Convention. Students and instructors had the extreme pleasure of participating in intensive dance training sessions led by esteemed choreographers from all over the United States. Each day these sessions began at 8:30am and ended at 4:30pm followed by competition segments. After an exhausting three days of classes and competition, the students and instructors took some much needed time to experience the various activities New York has to offer. They visited Ellis Island, the Statue of Liberty, Modern Museum of Art and the Empire State Building. They also took carriage rides in Central Park, attended Phantom of the Opera, the New Musical in the Heights and visited Time Square. The Alma Dolores International Dance Centre would like to thank all of the people who supported their many fundraising events that made this trip unforgettable.
